CONNECTING THE ACCESS CONTROL SERVER
There are two ways of connecting the controller network to the access control server. If the access control
server is located more than 25 feet from the rst controller, you will be required to use the CA-360 converter
as shown in Figure 1. If the access control server is located less than 25 feet from the rst controller, you can
connect the access control server directly to the controller’s RS232 port as shown in Figure 2. The controller
then performs the conversion of RS232 to RS485 internally.
