7. Trouble shooting guide
Symptom

XTrac will not function at all

Xtrac runs very slowly

Door stops before reaching
fully open position

Door stops & reverses before
reaching fully closed position

Xtrac will not function from
Hand Transmitter

Hand Transmitter operating
range is poor

Courtesy Lamp will not function

Courtesy Lamp triple flashes

LED Indicator glows solid

LED Indicator slow flashes

LED Indicator quick flashes

LED Indicator glows red

Door will not Autoclose

Will not Safety Reverse when
Safety Beams are interrupted

XTrac makes "squeaking" sound

Check that power cord is plugged-in and turned on

Check power point by plugging-in an alternate appliance

Check that XTrac is engaged to door

No LED display indicates that XTrac has entered Shut-down Mode
due to low battery voltage - check power supply (battery version
only)

Opener may have entered Holiday Lockout Mode

Speed Control setting may be too low - increase speed setting

Batteries are running low - check that charger is charging

Garage door may be binding or out of balance

Disengage XTrac from door and check for obstructions

Disengage XTrac from door and check for correct spring balance

Check for correct Safety Obstruction Force adjustment settings

Check for correct Open Limit adjustment

Door may be incorrectly balanced

Check that Dip 2 has been set to the "ON" position

Lubricate inside of Drive Rail with Silicone spray lubricant

Check for correct Close Limit adjustment

Check for correct Safety Obstruction Force adjustment settings

Battery voltage may be low - check that battery charger is active

Check for correct Safety Obstruction Force adjustment settings

Check function of XTrac by operating from "Run" button

Check function of XTrac with substitute remote control

Re-learn remote control code into Xtrac

Replace remote control battery

Replace Hand Transmitter battery

Replace Courtesy Lamp bulb

Battery voltage has dropped below 24V

Door balance is incorrect

Lubricate garage door springs and hinges

Call serviceman if lubricating springs does not correct problem

XTrac has reached fully closed position

XTrac has reached fully open position

XTrac is learning new Safety Obstruction Force values

Battery charger is not charging - check battery charger

Buzzer single beeps every
30 sec

Battery charger is not charging - check battery charger

Battery is nearing fully depleted state - check battery charger

Check for Safety Beam damage
