Graph 1: thermal a larm activation
Although this thermal alarm provides an indication that the
temperature-
time curve is exceeded, the curve may not represent the threshold
to injury
due to variations in individuals and the protective clothing worn.
Use
this alarm as a reference only to increasing temperature or time. Do
not use it as a
substitute for standard operating procedures regarding
escape from
temperature or time extremes.
Misuse can result in serious personal injury or death.
LCD temperature alarm
The LCD temperature alarm is designed to alert the operator if the control module is
overheating. This prevents the control module from potentially permanent damage.
This
sensor only measures the temperature close to the control module, not ambient
temperature of the environment. If there is a localised heat source near the control
module and the internal temperature reaches 90°C, the screen alerts will appear as
per
Figure 27 and a blue attention flashing light will appear in the HUD.
To deactivate the alarm, move the control module away from the heat source, or
cool
the control module down.
