+-----------------+---------------+-----------+---------------+
0 h_exp h(1) h(2) h(3)=h_max
If the table is off:

q_exp = q_max
+-----------------+
0 h_exp=h_max
Note that if in 1.41 GENERIC FLOW “PMD”=OTHER and “ESPONENT”=1.00 are set, the
analytic function is now a line from (0;0) to (h_max; q_max), so the function is now only tabular
with height values:
0, h_exp, h(1), h(2), ...
7.2.5.1 Set up for the “Bazin” type overflow
Figure 7-4 Scheme and calculation of the flow rate of a Bazin overflow
Q = [m
3
/s] Effluent flow rate by a thin wall (Bazin overflow)
b = [mm] Width of the thin wall section (weir)
p = [mm] Height of the thin wall section (weir)
H = [mm] Total height of the fluid upstream of the thin wall
h = [mm] Height of the fluid on the thin wall
h* = [mm] Height of the position of the probe. This must be at least 30cm higher than the
maximum swing h
µ = discharge coefficient
The 4204_Livello_Flow Rate device connected to a S425/C probe (ultrasound level probe), allows
to know the extent effluent by a thin wall or weir Bazin by updating firmware "Flow Meter 5.7”.
