Parameters of Capacity and Specifications
The coolant is a kind of toxic
fluid and can not be used to wash hands
or clothing. When adding the coolant, be
careful to avoid splash it onto any site
of engine. In the event that the coolant
contact your skin or eyes, please clean
the affected parts with plenty of water
and immediately seek the medical
treatment.
Using the coolant with correct
concentration will not only protect the
engine from freeze in the winter, but also
provide the anticorrosion protection
throughout the year. Modern engines
operate at the extremely high
temperature, so the bad coolant can not
provide the proper anticorrosion
protection for the cooling system.
Therefore, please use the coolant in line
with the specification of Chery. The tap
water can not be used instead.
See the chapter “Capacity and
Specification” for capacity.
Adding of Coolant
1. Unscrew the reservoir cover to add the
coolant till the MAX reticle, and run the
engine until the water temperature
reaches about 90℃. It is unnecessary to
shut the reservoir cover, because there is
gas discharged from pipeline, and
meanwhile reservoir level will drop.
2. Turn off the engine, add the coolant
into the reservoir and repeat the
above-mentioned processes once again
until the reservoir level no longer drops,
and then cover the reservoir.
Do not mix the coolants of
different colors and specifications.
Transmission Oil Level
The special service station of Chery will
inspect the level of transmission oil when
your vehicle is driven into the station
for maintenance.
Inspection of Power Steering Fluid
Level
The fluid level should reach the MAX sign
in case of the cold engine.
It is necessary to add the power steering
fluid in line with the specifications of
Chery if the level is below the MIN sign.
