3.2.7 Remote Sense (ON/OFF)
The 6430/6420/6415 provide the user with the selection of remote sensing output voltage while
he programs by keypad or rotary knob. Default setting is “OFF”. The user can change it as
below:
Action Display
1. Enter configurational setup as stated in 3.2 if required. SEt Up 1
2. Press 7 , ENTER . SEnSE V OFF
3. Use to select “ON” and press ENTER . SEnSE V ON
4. Press OUT/QUIT . SEt Up 7
5. Select other setups by numeric keys, or press OUT/QUIT
again to exit from setup.
3.3 Output Setting and Execution
After the 6430/6420/6415 AC sources pass the power-on self-test, or when the user completes the
configurational setup, the 6430/6420/6415 will show the following values on the seven-segment
LEDs:
0.0 60.0 0.00
This means that the present output settings for Vrms is 0 Volt, the output frequency 60 Hz, and
any of the output measured values (I/P/PF/CF) 0. Before programming outputs V and F, the
user has to set cuttent limit and output full range. These will be explained in the following three
subsections.
3.3.1 I Limit
The function of output current limit is to guarantee that the output current does not exceed the
preset value in order to protect the loading devices. The programmable range of rms current
limit is from 0 to 30 amperes for 6430, 0 to 20 amperes for 6420, and 0 to 15 amperes for 6415.
