Square brackets enclosing keywords or arguments
separated by a vertical line indicate an optional
choice.

Braces enclosing keywords or arguments separated
by a vertical line indicate a required choice.

Nested sets of square brackets or braces indicate optional or required choices within optional or required
elements. For example:
