Customization
Read this chapter to understand the concepts and tasks necessary to customize the
switch features to better suit your network needs. The tasks in this chapter are
independent, unless otherwise noted, and are listed in no particular order.
Before You Begin
Before you can customize the switch settings, the switch must first have an IP
address. If it does not have one, make sure that you have followed the steps to set
up the switch in the Getting Started Guide for the Catalyst Express 500 Switches.
