Read this chapter to understand the switch monitoring features that are used to
evaluate the status and the performance of the switch. The tasks in this chapter are

Before You Begin:
The monitoring features described in this chapter are available if the switch has
an IP address. Make sure that the switch has been set up as described in the
Getting Started Guide for the Catalyst Express 500 Switches.
