Configuring Telnet
Enabling the Telnet Server
By default, the Telnet server is enabled. You can disable the Telnet server on your Cisco Nexus device.
Procedure
PurposeCommand or Action
Enters global configuration move.switch# configure terminal
Step 1
Enables/disables the Telnet server. The default
is enabled.
switch(config)# [no] feature telnet
Step 2
Reenabling the Telnet Server
If the Telnet server on your Cisco Nexus device has been disabled, you can reenable it.
Procedure

Reenables the Telnet server.switch(config)# [no] feature telnet

Configuring the Telnet Source Interface
You can configure Telnet to use a specific interface.
Procedure
PurposeCommand or Action
Enters global configuration move.switch# configure terminal
Step 1
Configures the source interface for all Telnet packets.
The following list contains the valid values for interface.
switch(config)# ip telnet
source-interface type slot/port
