Starting from a Safe Condition
Always start from a safe condition. Before operating a lift truck, make
sure that:
1. Parking brake is applied.
2. Forks are fully lowered to the floor or ground.

Brake
Forks
Down
3. You are familiar with how all the controls function.
4. All controls are in neutral position.
5. Truck has received its daily inspection and is ready to operate.
Starting the Truck
Before you start the truck, make
sure that you have taken all the
above-mentioned precautions and
thatthe directional control is in NEU-
TRAL. To start the truck, turn the
key switch clockwise to the ON po-
sition.
