Know
Your
Truck
Truck Data
and
Capacity Plate
IMPORTANT
Know
and
understand
the
meaning
of the
data
on
your
truck's nameplate.
1.
Truck registered name.
2.
Type
designation.
These
code
letters
signity
the
type
ot
construction
with safeguards against
fire,
explosion,
or
electrical shock hazards
for
operation
in
nonclassified
and
classified areas. Check with
the
proper authority before entering areas where flammable
or
explo-
sive
material
may be
present.
3.
Truck serial number
and
model
number.
Use
these numbers when
requesting information
or
ordering parts
from
an
authorized CLARK
dealer.
The
serial number
is
also stamped
on the
frame.
4.
Attachment description
(if any
installed).
The
user must
see
that
the
truck
is
marked
to
identify
the
attachment(s),
including
the
weight
of
the
truck/attachment
combination
and
truck capacity with
the
attach-
ment.
IMPORTANT
When attachments
are
added
or if the
truck
is
modified,
the
capacity
of the
truck
may be
affected. Contact your
authorized CLARK dealer
for new
nameplate showing
the
revised capacity.
5.
Capacity rating, load center,
and
lifting height
data.
This shows
the
maximum load
capacity
of
this
truck
with
relation
to
load
centers
and
fork
heights. (See
diagram
on
plate.) Personal injury
and
damage
to
the
truck
can
occur
if
these capacities
are
exceeded.
DO NOT
EXCEED
MAXIMUM SPECIFIED.
6.
Truck weight, less load.
7.
Battery
weight.
8.
Battery
ampere-hour rating.
9.
System voltage.
