Maintenance requirements and instructions for continued airworthiness of the Cobham
SATCOM units in the AVIATOR 200S System are defined here.
The AVIATOR 200S System (CSDU, SCM and HELGA) requires no periodic scheduled
servicing tasks.
The CSDU is a Line-Replaceable Unit (LRU) and constructed for factory repair only.
Defective units must be returned to the factory for investigation, repair and test.
The SCM is a Line-Replaceable Unit (LRU) and constructed for factory repair only. Defective
units must be returned to the factory for investigation, repair and test.
See also the installation manual of the HELGA, refer to [8] LGA-5005 HELGA Installation
Manual (98-152675).
Note
When replacing the CSDU, it is important to leave the SCM installed in the aircraft,
because the SCM contains the aircraft-specific configuration data.
