7.4.5 Removal and re-installation of the SCM (SCM-5055)
1. Ensure that power is removed from the SATCOM system before removing the SCM.
2. Release the screw-locks on the D-sub connector and remove the 15 pin D-sub connector
from the SCM.
3. Remove the four fasteners holding the SCM in place through its mounting flange.
Re-installation
1. Mount the SCM to the aircraft structure with the four fasteners through its mounting
flange.SCM.
2. Connect the 15 pin D-sub connector to the SCM and tighten the connector screw-locks
to 0.32 Nm.
