Copying files and
subdirectories
Copy
compares
the
filename
of
the
input
file
with
the
filename
of
the
target.
If
they
are
the
same,
that
one
input
file is skipped,
and
MSĀ·
DOS
prints
the
error
message
"Content
of
destination
lost
before
copy."
Further
joining
proceeds
normally.
For
example,
thl"
following
command
appends
all
*.
txt
files
(except
all.
txt)
to
alltxt:
copy
all.txt
+
*.txt
This
command
will
not
produce
an
error
message.
If
you
want
to
copy
files
and
subdirectories,
you
should
use
the
xcopy
command.

for
more
information
on
how
to
do
this.
