6. Preparations for commissioning
29
The cooling water circuit in the screw compressor unit
is completely assembled.
For water connections see Fig. 10.

Permissible cooling water data:
Maximum cooling water pressure
Minimum cooling water inlet temp.
Maximum cooling water inlet temp.
Maximum cooling water outlet temp.
Cooling water requirement at max. operating
pressure:
90 l/min (@ ∆T=17K, ∆p = 0.8 bar)
24 gal/min (@ ∆T=31 °F, ∆p = 12 psi)
125 l/min (@ ∆T=14K, ∆p = 1.4 bar)
33 gal/min (@ ∆T=25 °F, ∆p = 21 psi)
125 l/min (@ ∆T=14K, ∆p = 1.4 bar)
33 gal/min (@ ∆T=25 °F, ∆p = 21 psi)
170 l/min (@ ∆T=12K, ∆p = 2.1 bar)
45 gal/min (@ ∆T=22 °F, ∆p = 31 psi)
170 l/min (@ ∆T=12K, ∆p = 2.1 bar)
45 gal/min (@ ∆T=22 °F, ∆p = 31 psi)
∆T:
Cooling water outlet temperature =
cooling water inlet temperature + ∆T
∆p:
Cooling water outlet pressure =
cooling water inlet pressure + ∆p
The values refer to fresh water quality without additives
(e.g. anti-freeze). Should the cooling water data differ,
please consult CompAir.
Adjust the cooling water flow for the air cooler during
commissioning using a manual regulating valve.
Compressed air outlet temperature = cooling water inlet
temperature + (7 to 9 °C) (13 to 16 °F).
Note
If possible, the cooling water outlet temperature should
be lower than 50 °C to avoid an increased precipitation
of lime.
6.3.1 Limit values of the constituent
elements in water
Note
The information set out below is intended for guidance
and may differ under certain conditions of operation.
The total composition and the operating temperature
are always decisive. Warranty claims may not be
derived from this..
