Converting a Minitower to a Desktop Configuration
To convert a minitower to a desktop configuration:
1. Perform the steps in the “Service Preparations” section as previously shown.
CAUTION:
Before removing the workstation access panel, ensure that the workstation is
turned off, all cables are disconnected from the back of the workstation, and the power cord is
disconnected from the grounded AC outlet.
2. Remove the workstation access panel.
3. Remove the front bezel.
4. Disconnect all power and data cables from the hard drives in the 5.25-inch drive bays.
5. Remove the drives from the 5.25-inch drive bays by lifting the drivelock.

6. Push the drives from the rear and remove them from the front of the drive bay.
CAUTION:
When removing the drives, do not pull the drives from the front of the drive bay. To
prevent damage to the drive bezel, push the drives from the rear to remove from the drive bay.
The use of unnecessary force may result in damage to the drives.
