Removing the Heatsink from the 733-MHz Processor
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the internal system
components to cool before touching.
To remove the heatsink from the 733-MHz processor (163363-001):
1. Perform the steps in the “Service Preparations” section as previously shown.
CAUTION:
Before removing the workstation access panel, ensure that the workstation is
turned off, all cables are disconnected from the back of the workstation, and the power cord is
disconnected from the grounded AC outlet.
2. Remove the workstation side access panel.
3. Push the retaining tabs on each side of the processor outward and then lift the processor
out of the socket.
4. Slide the metal clip on the back of the processor to the left 1 and remove the clip.
