4. Completely remove the top
cabinet lid by turning the 2 black
plastic fastener anti-clockwise
until it pops up & unplug the earth
wire connected to the lid.
WARNING: Ensure the cabinet is
unplugged from the main supply!
5. Disconnect the motor leads from
the motor terminal (Phase,
Neutral and Earth). Take note of
wire color and from which
terminal it was unplugged.
Unscrew 3x motor mounting
screw to remove the motor.
WARNING: Ensure the cabinet is
unplugged from the main supply!
6. Pry out the black rubber motor
seal from the seal holder. Take
note of the seal orientation – slit
on top.
Note: For fan motor
replacement, this does not need
to be removed unless there is an
evident sign of wear & tear.
7. The refitting of the motor seal & fan motor should be done in the reverse
order as above. Please take careful note of the following items:
a. The rubber motor seal orientation: slit top up, no spring inside the seal.
b. Apply a thin layer of silicon oil both in the internal and external
diameter of the motor seal.
c. The motor shaft must be inserted perpendicular to the motor seal to
prevent the seal from tilting.
d. Correct motor lead connection must be observed.
e. Secure any loose wires with cable tie.
f. Check for loose wires that may have been missed, particularly the
Earth wires.
g. Check that the rotor and its lock nut are properly placed and not
wobbling. No scratching between the rotor and adjacent metal parts
should be heard and observed.
