3. Use appropriate and correct tools in servicing the solenoid. Disassemble
the solenoid reference to the exploded view below.
a. Remove the clip (A) to slide out the solenoid coil (B).
b. Unscrew the nut (C) from the base (F) to remove plunger assemblies
D & E.
c. Remove the hose tails (G).
4. The critical part is part
E & F. Ensure that the
contact surfaces of
these parts are cleaned
thoroughly, no scratch,
no foreign materials
such as dirt and lint
between these
surfaces.
