11.1 Randomised delay
• The regulations have made it mandatory
to add the feature of ‘Randomised delay’ to
protect the stability of the national electricity
system from high volumes of charge points
switching on or off at the exact same time.
• Underthisregulation,thestartorstopofa
chargepointwillbesubjectedtoarandom
delay of up to 600 seconds. The user may
experience that the charging session will not
start at the exact scheduled time and should
take this into account when checking the
charging status.
• The user can override this delay in the
Monta app by tapping on “Switch to Charge
now” right after the swipe to charge on each
charging instances.
11.2 Loss of communications network access
• UndertheUKregulations,thechargepointshouldbeconguredtochargethe
vehicleevenifitlosesconnectiontothecommunicationnetwork.Inthatsituation,
thechargepointissaidtobeofine.
• Toimprovetheexperienceforusers,thechargepointsupportslocalauthorisation
ofidentiers.
• The registered RFID cards can be used to charge the vehicle even if the charger is
