8. SETTING UP
1. Unhitch the H16 from the tow-vehicle and use the Jockey Wheel to set the caravan parallel
with the ground.
NOTE: This can be simply done by marking the height of the rear of the caravan floor against
your body and then leveling the front of the caravan using the jockey wheel, to the same
height on your body.
2. Pull the red handles towards you to release all 4 wind-down legs.
Ensure the legs are in the vertical position when the red handles
are locked back into place. Use the crank-handle supplied
(located in the front locker) to wind down each leg until they are
in firm contact with the ground.
NOTE: Suits 19mm socket if using battery drill. These legs are not
designed to be used as a jack or as a means of lifting the trailer off
the ground. They are designed to stabilize the trailer when
stationary.
3. Unclip the front safety latches that hold the roof down.
4. Check the roof is clear of any obstacles such as branches from overhanging trees.
5. Locate the roof lift button, located inside beside the entry door.
6. Hold the button up until the roof stops lifting which will be approx. 45 seconds.
Note: Be mindful of the roof lifting, as if there is an obstruction or issue with the actuators,
you can immediately let go of the switch to prevent further damage.
9. PACKING DOWN
1. Close the shower door and unzip the tent above the shower door to lock the door on the
inside of the shower.
2. Check for potential obstructions inside the van.
3. Walk around the H16 to ensure it’s safe to lower the roof.
4. To close the roof, hold the roof lift button down until it stops, which is approx. 45 seconds.
5. Clip down the front safety latches to hold the roof down.
