TRUSCULPT OPERATOR MANUAL
D1395, REV. K, 02/18
Applying the Disposable Return Pad
1. Check the expiration date printed on the return pad pouch. If expired, do not use the return
pad.
2. Open the pouch, and remove the return pad. Remove the liner from the return pad, and
lightly touch the surface of the conductive adhesive to ensure that it is moist. Do not use
dry return pads.
3. Apply the return pad to the patient, at least 10 inches from the treatment site. Lightly
massage the entire surface of the return pad to ensure complete contact, with no creases
or bubbles.
4. Open the clamp on the neutral electrode cable by lifting the latch.
5. Insert the return pad tab completely into the clamp, with the foil contacts facing up, so that
the entire foil-contact area is covered by the clamp.
6. Lower the latch until it is level with the body of the clamp.
WARNING
Except when treating the back, it is recommended that the return pad
be placed on the patient’s back. When treating the back, the return pad
should be placed at least 10 inches from the treatment area.
WARNING
Do not place the return pad over scars, inflamed skin, fatty tissue, bony
prominences, or metal implants.
CAUTION
The return pad must be placed on the patient BEFORE connecting the
pad to the neutral electrode cable.
