What to do if the Cutera Excel HR Medical Equipment displays E224 during a procedure?
    • C
      Carolyn MooreAug 14, 2025
The E224 error indicates that the handpiece cooling tip is too hot. Avoid using a thick layer of gel, as this increases the cooling requirement. Also, make sure that the heat exchanger on the bottom of the system is free of dust and debris, and ensure that the room temperature is below 27° C.

    • K
      Kelsey FowlerAug 17, 2025
First, ensure the system is properly connected to a functioning power outlet and that the main power circuit breaker is in the 'on' position. Check if the building power is on, and try resetting the room circuit breaker. If the outlet is defective, use another one or have it repaired. Also, make sure the remote interlock plug is correctly inserted into the interlock receptacle and the keyswitch is in the start position.

Why does my Cutera Medical Equipment system shut down during operation?
    • M
      Mark HoodAug 21, 2025
The system might shut down due to a power interruption in the building. Verify that the building power is on. Another cause could be a tripped system main power circuit breaker; if so, place it in the 'on' position. If the remote interlock is in use, ensure the treatment room door is closed, and then restart the system.
