26. Power Saving Commands
26-1 dim led
This command is used to disable the port LED function. Use the no form of this command to restore the LED
function.
dim led
no dim led
Parameters
None.
Default
By default, this option is disabled.
Command Mode
Global Configuration Mode.
Command Default Level
Level: 15.
Usage Guideline
Use this command to turn off the port LED function. Use the no form of this command to restore the LED
function. When the port LED function is disabled, LEDs used to illustrate port status are all turned off to save
power.
Example
This example shows how to disable the port LED function:
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# dim led
Switch(config)#

This command is used to enable individual power saving functions. Use the no form of this command to
disable these functions.
power-saving {link-detection | port-shutdown | dim-led | hibernation}
no power-saving {link-detection | port-shutdown | dim-led | hibernation}
Parameters
link-detection
Specifies that power saving will be applied by link status.
dim-led
Specifies that power saving will be applied by scheduled dimming
LEDs.
