44 DD400 Series Restorer User Guide
• The maximum total size of all LUNs accessed by a DD400g is 4.2 TB.
• After configuring a DD400g, you cannot grow a LUN or the volume accessed by the DD400g.
• A DD400g writes to all LUNs that are on a disk array and that are available to the DD400g
(not masked).
• A Fiber Channel host bus adapter card (QLogic 2 gigabit class) in the restorer communicates
with the external disk array. See
Figure 19 for a schematic of the peripheral cards in a
DD400g.
Command Changes
The following disk commands are not valid for a restorer using external storage. All other
commands in the Data Domain command set are available.
