Setting Up the Reader

GRYPHON™ I GFS4500
Datalogic's 'Green Spot' technology coupled with a high
visibility topfront LED and integrated loud beeper with
adjustable intensity provide superior good-read feedback.
The GFS4500 is available in the following data interface
versions:
1. GFS4520: USB (micro-USB connector)
2. GFS4550: RS232 (2m straight cable DB9 connector)
3. GFS4590: USB / RS232 (10cm multi-interface connec-
tor)
SETTING UP THE READER
Follow the steps below to connect and get your reader up
and communicating with its host.
1. Connect the reader to the Host as shown on page 6.
2. Select the Interface. (See page 9).
3. Configure the Reader, see page (optional, as needed).
