      Run the Rapid Configuration procedure. Position the reader as described in 'Mounting And Positioning Matrix 320'. Through DL.CODE, tune the Acquisition Delay on Trigger if the moving code is out of the reader field of view. Set the Continuous Operating Mode if no external trigger source is available. Tune the Image Settings to improve the code image quality. Check the parameter settings in the Advanced Setup step: 2D Codes, 1D Codes, and Postal Codes. View the full resolution code image to check the printing or marking quality.

      The serial cable wiring may be incorrect. If you're using a CBX, ensure the RS422 termination switch is OFF. Also, verify that the host serial port settings match the reader's serial port settings. In DL.CODE, the COM LED Function can be configured to indicate Main Serial Port TX or Main Serial Port RX under Device menu > Settings > Settings > LED Configuration.

      To address communication issues where the Datalogic Industrial Equipment reader isn't transmitting to the host, ensure the serial cable is correctly wired. If you're using a CBX, verify that the RS422 termination switch is OFF. Also, confirm that the host serial port settings match those of the reader. You can configure the COM LED function in DL.CODE under Device menu > Settings > Settings > LED Configuration to indicate Main Serial Port TX or Main Serial Port RX.

      To find the Serial Number of your Datalogic Industrial Equipment reader, look for a 9-character code consisting of one letter, two numbers, another letter, followed by five numbers. This number is printed on a label affixed to the case or connector block of the reader. The Serial Number is also visible in the DL.CODE Device List Area.

Ensure that the COM port parameters (Baud Rate, Parity, Data Bits, Stop Bits) are correctly assigned. On the Reading Phase step, verify the settings of Acquisition Trigger String, Reading Phase-ON String, and Reading Phase-OFF String parameters. Also, confirm that the serial trigger source is correctly connected.
