The conceptintroducesanintelligenttrainingprogramofferingtheuserfourdifferenttrainingobjectives
(seeillustrationabove)tochoosefrom.Theergo_bikewillcomputeandmonitoranoptimaltrainingplanbasedonthe
performanceevaluation,availabletime,andanindividualperformancetest.Thistrainingplanwillbecontinually
updatedandadjustedthroughregularandautomaticcontrolofthetrainingresultstoensureanoptimaltrainingcourse
andsuccess.
Theuserisrequiredtoentertheamountoftimeheorshecanorwanttotrain(thenumberoftrainingunitsper
week),andtoevaluatehisorherownfitnesslevel.Theusershouldnotoverestimatehiscapacityregardingthe
numberoftrainingunitsandtheirdifficultygrade.Insportactivityoverworkingdoesnothelp,whileathoughtfuland
controlledtrainingplanleadsgenerallyfasterandmoreefficientlytoitsobjective.
ThesameappliesalsototheselfevaluationoftheuserphysicalperformancecapacitiesbeforethestartofaCoaching
plan.A userwhoevaluateshiscapacitiesatalowerlevelwillachievehistrainingobjectivessafelyandwithout
overworking,eventhoughinalongerperiodoftime.
TheusermusttakeacapacitytestatthestartoftheCoachingplan,andthenonceevery4weeks.Thecomputer
usesthistesttodeterminetheloadprescriptions(e.g.themaximumloadinwattandthemaximumheartrateduring
thetraining).Thistestisafullloadtest,andtheusershouldonlytakeittothepointwherehecangowithout
overworkingoroverloadinghimself.
Whenusedproperly,thecoachingprogramwillnotturnusersintohighperformanceathletes.Thegoalofthis
programistopreserveyourhealthandtoincreaseyourperformancecapacities,andtomakeyouglobally“fit”.
