Removing the battery cable

Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
NOTE: Ensure that your computer is in Service Mode. For more information, see step 7 in Before working inside your
computer.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the battery.
About this task

Steps
1. Slide down the clamp that secures the battery cable to the battery.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the battery.
3. Remove the battery cable from the routing guides.
4. Lift the battery cable off the battery.
