The following image(s) indicate the location of the M.2 2230 solid-state drive in SSD-2 and provides a visual representation of the
removal procedure.
Steps
1. Remove the screw (M2x4) that secures the solid-state drive thermal shield to the solid-state drive and palm-rest and keyboard
assembly.
2. Remove the solid-state thermal shield off the solid-state drive.
3. Slide and remove the solid-state drive from the solid-state drive slot.
4. Remove the screw (M2x4) that secures the solid-state drive mounting bracket to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
5. Lift the solid-state drive mounting bracket off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE: Repeat step 1 to step 5 to remove the solid-state drive on SSD-1 slot on your computer.
Installing the M.2 2230 solid-state drive
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.
