Prerequisites
CAUTION: Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS setup program’s settings to default. Before removing the I/O board
along with the coin-cell battery, it is recommended to note the BIOS setup program’s settings.
1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane.
3 Remove the speakers.

Procedure
1 Open the latch and disconnect the hard-drive cable from the system board.
2 Open the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the system board.
3 Peel the I/O-board cable from the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
4 Remove the two screws (M2x4) that secure the I/O board to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
5 Lift the I/O board, along with the cable, o the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
