Removing the power button
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the 3-cell battery or the 4-cell battery, whichever applicable.
4. Remove the coin-cell battery.
5. Remove the display assembly.

Steps
1. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the power button to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Remove the power button from the slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
