Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the 3-cell battery or the 4-cell battery, whichever applicable.
4. Remove the coin-cell battery.
5. Remove the display assembly.

Steps
1. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the power button with optional fingerprint reader to the palm-rest and keyboard
assembly.
2. Peel off the fingerprint reader flexible printed circuits from the connector on the power button.
3. Remove the power button with optional fingerprint reader from the slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
