5. Peel back the tape that secures the speaker cable to the palm-rest and touchpad.
6. Unroute and remove the speaker cable from the routing guides along the bottom side of the thermal fan and on the
palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
7. Using a plastic scribe, pry the speakers along with the cable off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
NOTE:
If the rubber grommets are pushed out when removing the speakers, push them back in before replacing the
speakers.
