Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
NOTE: Ensure that your computer is in Service Mode. For more information see, step 6 in Before working inside your
computer.
2. Remove the SD card.
3. Remove the SIM card tray.
4. Remove the base cover.

Steps
1. Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board.
2. Remove the two (M1.6x2.5) screws that secure the system fan to the palm-rest assembly.
