3. Disconnect the system fan cable. Remove the screws that secure the system fan to the computer and remove the
system fan from the computer.
Installing the System Fan
1. Align the system fan in its place on the system board.
2. Tighten the screws that secure the system fan to the computer.
3. Connect the system-fan cable to the system board.
4. Install:
a) base cover
b) SD card
c) battery
5. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer .
Removing the Heatsink
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
2. Remove:
a) SD card
b) battery
c) base cover
d) hard drive
e) keyboard trim
f) keyboard
g) palmrest
h) speaker
i) display-hinge cover
j) display assembly
k) system board
3. Remove the screws that secure the heatsink to the system board. Lift the heatsink from the system board.
