Removing the Battery

Prerequisites
1 Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 7 in "Removing the Base Cover" on
page 12.
2 Remove the speakers. See "Removing the Speakers" on page 22.
Procedure
1 Remove the screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.
2 Lift the battery, along with its cable, off the palm-rest assembly.
3 Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
4 Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds to ground the system board.
