Removing the Fan

Prerequisites
1 Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 7 in "Removing the Base Cover" on
page 12.
2 Remove the speakers. See "Removing the Speakers" on page 22.
3 Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 25.
Procedure
1 Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
2 Remove the screw that secures the fan to the palm-rest assembly.
3 Lift the fan, along with its cable, away from the palm-rest assembly.
