3.2 Multi-function Buttons

Description

ON/ OFF
Button
The button has multiple functions. Please refer to the following for detailed
information.
1. Turn on
 In standby/ bypass mode, press and hold the button for 3
seconds, and release it after you hear one beep. After that, the
UPS will run in on-line mode.
 Cold start: When there is no AC input, press and hold the button
for 3 seconds, and release it after you hear one beep. After that,
the UPS will run in battery mode.
2. Turn off
 In on-line mode, (1) press and hold the button for 3 seconds, (2)
release it after you hear one beep, (3) use the Scrolling UP or
Down button ( / ) to select ‘Yes’, and (4) press the Enter
button ( ) to confirm your selection. After that, the inverter will
be off and the UPS will transfer to run in standby or bypass
mode.
 In battery mode, (1) press and hold the button for 3 seconds, (2)
release it after you hear one beep, (3) use the
Scrolling UP
or
Down
button ( / ) to select ‘
Yes
’, and (4) press the
Enter
button ( ) to confirm your selection. After that, the UPS will be
turned off.
 In battery mode, press and hold the button for 3 seconds, and
release it after you hear one beep. After that, the UPS will turn
off its output.
3. Fault Clear
When the UPS is under a fault condition, press and hold the button for
3 seconds, and release it after you hear one beep. After that, the UPS
will try to clear the fault.
NOTE:
1. When the UPS clears the fault, it means that the buzzer/
warning message has been turned off. To eliminate the fault
detected, please refer to
Chapter 11: Troubleshooting
for
relevant solutions.
2. The function mentioned above is only applicable to the
condition when the UPS has a fault and the inverter is off.
