An optional third party addressable module can only be used within the Ex d ameproof
model unless the addressable module is component certied as Ex e for use within the Ex d e
increased safety model.
NOTE
Refer to the “EOL Resistors” section of this manual for installation details. All cable entry
devices and blanking elements shall be certied to “E-generation” or “ATEX” standards, in
type of explosion protection increased safety “e” or ameproof enclosure “d” (as applicable),
suitable for the conditions of use and correctly installed. They shall maintain the degree of
ingress protection IP66 for the apparatus. Unused conduit entries shall be closed with suitable
blanking elements.
NOTE
For ATEX installations, the X3301 Flame Detector housing must be electrically connected to earth
ground.
