Connecting to electrical power supply
Note - Make sure that the mains voltage on the unit supplied corresponds with the operating
voltage in your location� If in doubt please contact an electrical specialist or your
local DeVilbiss authorised dealer� If OK, remove the safety label covering the Equip-
ment power socket�
Connect the mains plug to the equipment power socket and to an earthed mains socket
outlet�
Use with nebulizer standard hose
1� Inspect hose to check for tears or damage before using
2� Make sure that the tubing is properly fixed to the UltraNeb connectors�
3� In case of damage the tubing must be replaced� Please contact DeVilbiss or your
authorised dealer
4� The tube should only be disconnected at the cuffs� Do not pull hard or twist the tube as
the tube may become damaged�
Use with heated hose
1� Use only the supplied hose !
2� Malfunctions may arise if other manufacturers heated hoses are used !
3� Connect plug on heated hose to socket at back of nebulizer� The mark on the plug should
be pointing upwards�
4� Put heated silicone hose (instead of 1200 mm hose) to the outlet of the nebulizer cham-
ber lid, continuous filling system or medication cup�
The hose heating switches on automatically when ultrasonic nebulizer starts�
The operating temperature of max� 37° C is reached after about 2 minutes�
Check the operation
After cleaning, before use set the main switch located on the rear panel to ”I” (ON)�
Unit will start running
Check the operation controls
- nebulizer
- airflow
- timer
Yellow LED shows which level of function is selected� Push +/- to in/decrease function in steps
1� It takes about 2 minutes for heated hose to warm up�
2� To test the alarms, Remove nebulizer chamber from UltraNeb
3� Red LED comes on and alarm sounds
4� The alarm will sound for 12 sec and then fall silent for 4 sec� This will continue for a
period of 2 min before stopping, the Red LED will remain on
5� Replace the nebulizer chamber back into UltraNeb �
6� Push the switch ON/OFF (O/I) the Red LED with go out�
7� The UltraNeb is ready for use again� The green LED is lit indicating stand-by mode�
