All individual parts must be rinsed with distilled water after use� Single use items must not
be re-used, as there is a risk of infection� The above-mentioned disinfecting examples are
suggestions from the equipment manufacturer� The recommendation is the named active
agent bases (pH 4�5 to 8)� This does not absolve the user from the responsibility to ask the
hygiene experts, in individual cases, to test the suitability of the active agents on a compo-
nent to be disinfected�
Manual cleaning of the quartz module
To clean it, pull the nebuliser chamber cover off the nebuliser chamber and unscrew the
quartz module from the nebuliser chamber� Re-assembly is carried out by reversing the
process�
Note: If you use non colourfast cloths, then the plastic parts could become discoloured�
Note: The nebuliser chamber, nebuliser chamber cover, continuous filling kit and tubing are
all classed as consumable items� The material they are made of will wear at a greater
or lesser rate depending on the cleaning process used� Before each use, check that all
parts are in good condition� If there is any noticeable damage, they must be replaced�
Replacing the quartz module
Remove the quartz module to be replaced� Carefully screw in the quartz module and check
that it is secure� If it is screwed on too loosely, fluids can escape through the thread; if it is
too tight, the thread of the plastic chamber could be damaged (cracks caused by pressure)�
Replacing the bacteria filter
The bacteria filter must be replaced after 1 week at the latest or in accordance with the
manufacturer‘s instructions� When using a closed sterile water system, it is recommended
that you replace the filter after 48 hours of operation or every 14 days� You must replace
the bacteria filter if water has infiltrated the filter, or if other abnormalities are evident
(discolouration, cracks, mildew)�
