All individual parts must be rinsed with distilled water after use Single use items must not
be re-used, as there is a risk of infection The above-mentioned disinfecting examples are
suggestions from the equipment manufacturer The recommendation is the named active
agent bases (pH 45 to 8) This does not absolve the user from the responsibility to ask the
hygiene experts, in individual cases, to test the suitability of the active agents on a compo-
nent to be disinfected
Manual cleaning of the quartz module
To clean it, pull the nebuliser chamber cover off the nebuliser chamber and unscrew the
quartz module from the nebuliser chamber Re-assembly is carried out by reversing the
process
Note: If you use non colourfast cloths, then the plastic parts could become discoloured
Note: The nebuliser chamber, nebuliser chamber cover, continuous filling kit and tubing are
all classed as consumable items The material they are made of will wear at a greater
or lesser rate depending on the cleaning process used Before each use, check that all
parts are in good condition If there is any noticeable damage, they must be replaced
Replacing the quartz module
Remove the quartz module to be replaced Carefully screw in the quartz module and check
that it is secure If it is screwed on too loosely, fluids can escape through the thread; if it is
too tight, the thread of the plastic chamber could be damaged (cracks caused by pressure)
Replacing the bacteria filter
The bacteria filter must be replaced after 1 week at the latest or in accordance with the
manufacturer‘s instructions When using a closed sterile water system, it is recommended
that you replace the filter after 48 hours of operation or every 14 days You must replace
the bacteria filter if water has infiltrated the filter, or if other abnormalities are evident
(discolouration, cracks, mildew)
