m) Oil specification
Brand Description Specification Viscosity
SHELL AeroShell Sport Plus 4 API SL SAE 10W-40
Furthermore, use only motorcycle oil of a registered brand with gear additives.
Use only oil with API classification ‘SG’ or higher!
CAUTION
There are motor oils with API qualification which are NOT
suitable. See Rotax Service Instruction SI-912i-001, latest
edition.
The use of multi-grade oils is recommended.
At the selection of suitable lubricants refer to the additional information in the Rotax Service
Instruction SI-912i-001, latest edition.
n) Coolant : Water / Conventional coolant e.g.
BASF Glysantine Protect Plus G48.
Mixing Ratio : 1:1 by volume
CAUTION
If the coolant level is low the reason must be determined and
the problem must be corrected by authorized personnel.
o) Restart airspeed (starter) : max. 80 KIAS
Restart airspeed (windmilling) : max. 125 KIAS
