3.11 OTHER EMERGENCIES
3.11.1 UNINTENTIONAL FLIGHT INTO ICING CONDITION
1. Leave the icing area (by changing altitude or turning back).
2. Continue to move control surfaces to maintain their moveability.
3. Alternate air ......................... ON
4. Propeller speed lever .................. increase RPM, in order to
prevent ice build-up on the
propeller blades
5. Cabin heat .......................... OPEN / DEFROST
6. PITOT HEAT ........................ ON, if installed
CAUTION
In case of icing on the leading edge of the wing, the stall
speed will increase and flight characteristics may degrade.
