POI
After enabling the POI mode, the aircraft flies around the selected PinPoint in a circle,
making it convenient for users to take orbit shots. POI can be enabled only when the aircraft
is in Normal mode.
In POI mode, users can move the control sticks to control the movement of the aircraft.
Move the roll stick to adjust the aircraft circling speed, the pitch stick to alter the distance
from the PinPoint, which is the circling radius, the throttle stick to change the altitude, and
the yaw stick to adjust the frame.
If the user has adjusted the radius with the pitch stick or changed the altitude with the
throttle stick, the aircraft can automatically adjust the gimbal tilt to ensure the camera faces
toward the PinPoint. Users can also lock or adjust the gimbal tilt manually.
In POI mode, if the vision systems are working normally, the aircraft will brake when an
obstacle is detected, regardless of whether obstacle avoidance is set to Avoid or Brake in DJI
Pilot 2.
Using POI
1. After takeoff, select an existing PinPoint from the camera view or the map view or create
a new PinPoint after finding the target.
2. Manually control the aircraft to adjust the radius.
3. Tap the POI icon
in the camera view to enable the POI mode. The aircraft looks at the
selected PinPoint automatically, a speed bar will appear in the camera view, and a flight
route circle will appear in the map view.
As the PinPoint has altitude, when the aircraft looks at the PinPoint, it will look at the
altitude of the PinPoint. To look at the target right below the PinPoint, lock or adjust the
gimbal angle manually after tapping the POI icon.
