3.5.3 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
Electrostatic discharge
When handling components carrying the ESD warning symbol, observe the
required protective measures against electrostatic discharges. Failure to observe
these may lead to malfunction and put the patient at risk.
To prevent malfunctions, observe the following measures and train the relevant
personnel:
► Observe the ESD protective measures, for example:
– Wear antistatic clothing and shoes.
– Use electrically insulating and antistatic gloves.
– Touch a potential equalization pin when connecting the equipment.
