10 Final assembly
10.1 Safety information
WARNING
Risk of electric shock
Carelessness in handling live electrical components of the system can lead to
serious injury or death when touching live parts.
► Only specialized service personnel is permitted to carry out the work.
10.2 Layout of the live electrical components
Prerequisites
– A circuit breaker is installed between the electrical system of the building and the
area control unit.
– This circuit breaker is freely accessible.
– This circuit breaker must be marked.
– This circuit breaker safely disconnects the live electrical components of the area
control unit from the electrical system of the building.
– A fuse comparable to 6 A characteristic B is required for circuit protection.
– The cables between the electrical system of the building and the area control
unit must have a cross-section of at least 1 mm2 (comparable to NYM).
10.2.1 Components for the door opening alarm with alarm transmission
to the Dräger Alarm Management System
The area control unit is composed of several different components which can be
compiled to form one system. During assembly, these components must be
attached to the profile rail. To convert the system to a digital area control unit, all
electronic components on the profile rail must be removed and the new
components must be installed.
