Reprocessing
Surface disinfection
3. Wipe cleaned surfaces again to visibly wet all surfaces to be disinfected with
surface disinfectant.
4. Wait for the surface disinfectant contact time.
5. At the end of the contact time, moisten a new, uncontaminated and lint-free cloth
with water (at least drinking water quality).
6. Wipe all surfaces until no remains of the surface disinfectant, such as foam
residues or streaks, are visible.
7. Wait until the surfaces are dry.
8. Check the surfaces for visible damage and, if necessary, replace the product.
3.5.2.1 Disinfecting the breathing system mount
Components:
– Breathing system mount
Prerequisite:
– The breathing system cover has been removed.
– The TurboVent 2 blower module has been removed.
– The breathing system has been removed.
Perform the following steps:
1. Soak a disposable cloth in disinfectant solution or use a ready-to-use disposable
cloth.
2. Perform the surface disinfection of the breathing system mount by wiping
backwards and forwards at least 3 times. Take particular care to disinfect the
pneumatic connections (A).

NOTE
Note the following information:
– Do not use alcohol-based disinfectants.
– Remove any deposits.
– Ensure lint-free cleaning and disinfection.
– Do not reprocess connections or ports with elevated pressure via spraying or
compressed air.
– Carefully wipe the device with a damp cloth and do not allow any fluid to
penetrate.
