Reprocessing
Dräger states that oxygen-releasing agents and chlorine-releasing agents may
cause color change in some materials. Color change does not indicate that the
product is not functioning correctly.
Other surface disinfectants are used at one's own risk.
3.6.2 Reprocessing procedures
Steam sterilization
The following components can be steam sterilized:
– Upper part of the breathing system
– Lower part of the breathing system
– Inspiratory port
– Expiratory port
– Inspiratory valve (red)
– Expiratory valve (blue)
–APL valve
– TurboVent 2 blower module
– Flexible breathing bag arm (option)
– Absorber container
– Absorber insert
– CLIC adapter (option)
Steam sterilization can reduce the lifespan of the TurboVent 2 blower module.
Prerequisites:
– The components are cleaned, disinfected, and dry.
– Use a steam sterilizer that meets the requirements of the standard ISO 17665.
Dräger recommends steam sterilization with fractionated vacuum.
